Because my 'old' 3'round downpipe with flex part was touching the grond on almost every speedbump,
I decided to search for a solution. I did not want to compromize on the ride hight, just because of the looks and aerodynamics. So the best way to go was to design a new oval downpipe. It saved me more than 3 cm to the ground. And this oval downpipe still got the same volume as the round 3" downpipe I had before! So I still got the same flow in the exhaust!

As u can see we also removed the flexpart in the exhaust, witch was almost always touching the ground. We used a 'donut' gasket with springs on the bolds to give it juist a litte space to move. (See picture 1)

The new downpipe works perfect and I almost never touch the ground. After the welding progress I painted it with hi-heat coating, and installed a Cool-it heatwrap around it. This is done to keep the under hood temperatures as low as possible.
